Night Movements

Bang Bang the drum of condolences
an endless constant
changing
dance at the end of light
you do a curtsy with your partner
and they do the same steps
and dance away
back into the light
but oh
how you dance
to the swell and shrink
of the beat
as your eyes grow
tired
from the dance
and your body grows
exhausted
they are
